Privacy policy
Last updated: November 7, 2026
SureTab does not sell, share or analyze your data, and the developer never receives the tabs you save.
Free version
- What is stored: the addresses (URLs) and titles of the tabs you choose to save, your groups and your settings.
- Where: only on your device, in the browser's extension storage, and — if "Automatic backup in bookmarks" is on (default) — in a bookmarks folder named "SureTab backup" in your own browser. If you use Chrome Sync, Google syncs that folder like any other bookmark, under Google's privacy policy.
- No servers: no account, no analytics, no advertising. Favicons are shown through the browser's built-in favicon service.
- Uninstall survey: if you uninstall SureTab, an optional Google Form opens asking why. Answering is voluntary.
SureTab Pro (optional, paid)
- Payments: processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record, under its own privacy policy. SureTab never sees your card details.
- License check: when you activate SureTab Pro, your license key and a device label (for example "SureTab on Windows") are sent to Lemon Squeezy to activate the license, and the license is re-checked about once a day.
- Google Drive backup: if you click "Connect Google Drive", SureTab uploads a backup file of your saved tabs to a "SureTab" folder in your own Google Drive. It uses the limited
drive.filepermission, so it can only access the files it creates — not the rest of your Drive. The backup goes directly from your browser to Google and never passes through any server of ours. You can disconnect at any time from the Pro window and remove access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. - SureTab's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your control
You can export or delete your data at any time. Uninstalling the extension deletes its local storage; the bookmark backup folder and any Google Drive backup files stay until you delete them.
